Privacy
Miji does not collect data through the app. Miji does not send your dictionary lookups or collection to the developer.
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
- No servers. Miji has no backend. The whole dictionary ships inside the app, so look-ups work offline and never leave the phone.
- No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers. Nothing in the app reports usage anywhere.
- Your collection is stored locally. Saved words, flashcards, settings and practice history are stored on your iPhone, in a container shared with Miji's Share Sheet and notification extensions. Miji does not send your collection to the developer.
- Notifications are local. Review prompts are scheduled by the app on the device itself, not sent from a server.
- You control your data. Remove a word from your collection to stop practicing it. To erase Miji's local data, delete Miji and, if installed, Miji Test. Your iCloud or computer backups may retain app data according to your device settings; manage or delete those backups through Apple.
Miji does not currently offer account-based sync. Device backups are separate from sync, and the developer cannot access your backups.
You can change notification permission at any time in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Miji. Dictionary lookups and practice inside Miji work without that permission.
If you email support, the developer receives the address and message you choose to send and uses them to answer your request. Please do not include anything you do not want to share. You can request deletion of support correspondence.
This policy describes the app. Opening the website or an email app uses those services, whose own privacy policies apply.
